Beyoncé finally did it!
After a 15-year wait, she won Album of the Year with “Cowboy Carter,” at this years Grammys
Her fan club, known as the “Beyhive” have waited a long time for this moment. It has taken her five albums to achieve this award. And her haters are still coming for her.
“Beyoncé wins Album of the Year?” Christian Brea said. “The Grammys never change–money decides everything, not talent.”
“Beyoncé should have never won a Grammy at all,” Danny Torres said. “Jay-Z complained enough for her to win.”
People clearly are not happy about Beyoncé’s win, but that didn’t take away from the pride she expressed in her acceptance speech.
“I just feel very full, and honored,” Beyoncé said. “It’s been many years.”
Kendrick Lamar won all of the Grammys “Not Like Us” was nominated for, most notably Record of The Year and Song of The Year. He has made his appearance in the rap industry very known with “Not Like Us” being No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for 22 weeks.
Looking back it was obvious that Chappell Roan who should’ve won Best New Artist. I originally expected Sabrina Carpenter to win this category, but Chappells hit single “Good Luck, Babe” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay chart, hit one billion streams on Spotify, without being on her debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.”
Beyoncé winning Album of the Year has pissed some people off this year, as she is not who they wanted to take home the award for this category. But Beyoncé has waited her whole career for this moment, so just this one time we should let her have it.
