The Mustangs faced a tough defeat at Andover Central 31-7, dropping their overall record to 3-3, and a district record of 1-3.
This game marked a disappointing milestone for the team, as it was their first outing of the season to yield only one touchdown and a scoreless second half.
Junior middle linebacker Jesus Delgado reflected on the team’s struggles, emphasizing issues with execution.
“The main problems from previous games are execution,” Delgado stated. “This varies from defense to offense. We know what to do and how to do it, but when we see a different formation, we get confused about our roles and are not on the same page, causing things to fall apart.”
Looking ahead, the Mustangs will prepare for their away game against Andover this Friday, as both teams enter the matchup with identical 3-3 records.
