Another Mustang victory

The boys soccer team played against their all time rival South High. They had a mustang victory  over their rival team with a score of 2-1.

“Our strength is our speed,” Junior Collister Ryan said.

The boys have a record of 3-8. With only 4 seniors the Varsity team is young and has a lot of potential for later years. Over 6 senior varsity players have left the team so they have had to really reprogram it since 2019.

“We’ve tried new formations and people have really stepped up to take new positions,” Sophomore Jesus Contreras said.

The pressure of playing on varsity is brought on to everyone not just the usual Seniors and Juniors. Although there is a lot of potential on the team Freshman Leo Berkley has been said by a couple of teammates to be one of the best.

“He is the most skilled, and he is from France,” Junior Will Ryan said.

Like every other team out there winning is definitely a confidence booster.

“Beating south showed that we have the talent to beat skilled teams and I think it boosted our confidence,” Freshman Leo Berkley said.
