This past week the CHS Robotics Team 3172 HorsePower traveled to Denver Colorado for the regional competition Destination Deep Space. Since early January students have been hard at work in designing, planning, and building their robot prior to the competition. Hannah Queen, a sophomore and member of the robotics team, says that her favorite part about preparing for the six weeks leading up to competition was seeing how the long hours of hard work pay off. ´We get to go somewhere and show off all the work we´ve done. It´s what we´ve worked toward the entire season. To go off to competition and use the robot for the specific game we made it to play´. This year the team placed 23rd, beating last years rank, out of the 56 teams who came to compete. Way to go Mustangs!
