The truth about relationships can always be a little scary. Girls have always tried to live up to the relationships seen on TV, and at the end up all that trying, the relationship that was supposed to be filled with love, has been filled with heartbreak.

Once you have started the relationship, you begin to fall in love with your partner, but yet the girls always end up changing how they act and who they hang out with. To Sophomore Makenzie Clark, and Sadie Nunez they had both stopped being friends with certain people to please their significant other, but to Clark she had to completely shut off all of her friends to keep her ex-boyfriend happy.

“My relationship with Josue affected my friendships majorly I didn’t have a whole lot of friends after we started dating, and I lost a lot of my close friends” said Clark.

Girls (and guys) may have this problem but to make them happy seems like everything and you let them change you completely which can turn into mental and emotional abuse for both sides after the relationship ends.

Simple things as sleeping can become a struggle, things that are very common for both parties after a bad breakup. When asked if she could sleep after the breakup the response we had was..

“no not really” said Clark.

Clark and Nunez both now have trouble being genuinely happy, and the relationship breakups are still affecting their emotions and how easy things can get into their mind.

Despite all this we have some wise words from Senior Kyah Arcayan.

“I just don’t want girls in high school to think that high school is about meeting your like one true love, it’s really not” said Arcayan.

Many girls are trying to get into relationships and meet their love in high school, and though which can happen, girls shouldn’t try to rush into things quickly, because if done, things could end badly. To not waste time on boys who don’t waste time on you.
