This week in the cafeteria students set up a table filled with colorful ribbons. These ribbons are very important to a lot of students and this is a topic that many students think needs to be talked about.

Junior Kerrigon Hutton thinks very highly of these ribbons and what they stand for when being asked what the ribbons meant to her, she replied,”It means pride, It means being proud of who you are against other people even if they dont agree with you or your decisions. It means loving yourself and it means awareness.”

This week is GSA awareness week and people like to dress up for this whole week to show there spirit. Tuesday was ribbon day, wednesday was flannel day, thursday was rainbow day and friday was miss match shoe day. Lots of students have already showed their support and dressed for the best.

Thursday was national coming out day and Hutton said this,”I feel like its a day that everyone can feel with eachother and just like hey I support people and seeing the people together.”
