The South-Central rival game went down this last Thursday at Salina Stadium. Throughout the game both teams where playing hard, but the Mustangs came out stronger, scoring two goals, and letting the Cougars score none.

“We possessed them the whole game,”  Senior Bartholomew said.

Through out the whole game Central had complete control over South and over the field. South’s plan on shutting down Berkley, was not successful at all. Like Bartholomew predicted they wouldn’t even get close to shutting him off, and they weren’t.

“Teams talk and teams play obviously we’re here to play and obviously they’re here to talk,” said Bartholomew.

For Senior Montoy this was his last league game against Salina South. Even though Montoy thought he could’ve played better, they ended winning the match and that was all that mattered.

“A wins a win,” said Bartholomew.
