The Choir has been preparing for their up coming concert on October 11th at 7 PM.  The Choirs performing will be the Men’s Chorus, Choraliers, Women’s Chorus, Free Spirit and Celebrations.

Sophomore Shayla Dao is apart of the Women’s Chorus and Celebrations Choir. “Women’s will be performing the songs ‘Sign No More’ by Ruth Morris Grey, ‘Hi Ho Fiddle Eye O’ by Earlene Rentz, and ‘Water is Wide’ by Stuart P O’neil, and Celebrations is singing ‘I Will Rejoice’ by Georg Philipp Telemann, ‘California Dreaming’ by John Phillips and ‘Boatman Stomp’ by Michael Gray,” Dao said.

“My favorite is ‘Sign No More’, it is so good! It is such a bop,” Dao said

Junior Jerzee Mullins is in Choraliers. “We’ve been working really hard so far this year on our new pieces,” said Mullins, “Repetition is one of the main factors that helps us succeed.”

This past Monday, Choraliers attended the KMEA (Kansas Music Educators Association) that was held at Kansas Wesylan University. “We were there to listen to high level choir and learn audition songs,” said Mullins.
